I've had this tent for over 10 years (I'm 22. First tent I ever bought) and it has seen thousands of miles of trails and waterways and is still standing up to the sun and rain. Rock solid, freestanding, and can be set up in the rain so the inside doesn't get wet.
Can be considered heavy and big for the ultra-light backpacker and is probably overkill for a solo hiker.
