this is a really durable rope. it has been through a beating and still going and looking strong. Minimal fraying and still stays dry.
kinds stiff, a bit kinky
BlueWater and Mammut are my preferred ropes.

Lightweight, super durable, and you cannot find a better price for a double weave dry rope.
Slightly kinky.

the rope works. I've climbed 4 months in Australia, Thailand and China on this rope. 4-5 days a week. It's caught a lot of falls, heaps of them. The middle of the sheath hasn't worn badly, it goes over rough edges well, but the ends are wrecked and need to be chopped every other week.
As a 9.9mm rope it is now handling and visble looks/feels like a 10.3, not even close to my friends 9.8s and now it locks up in grigs. It was said to be 'dry treated' but never performed outstandingly. It picked up a lot of dirt quickly. The halfway-mark is pretty hard to spot on my maroon and brownish rope. It came with a very very poor quality ropebag that fell apart after about 3 weeks of regular use.
New England and BlueWater ropes.

Feels good, durable.
Comes with a free cheap ropebag
The bipattern weave is not as visible as it should be in the red version.

Great rope! Why pay for the name "Petzl" when you can get the same quality for so much cheaper?
