The Burton Air Snowboard is a freestyle legend for plenty of reasons: forgiving flex, turn-on-a-dime maneuverability, and high-speed stability, to name a few. Powderhounds and park rats benefit from the Super Fly wood core's low swing weight, the precision handling of Dualzone EGD construction, and the speed of a sintered base. For its 20th anniversary, the Air Snowboard features a more twin-like shape to help you dial your switch landings, and Burton outfitted this classic ride with Pressure Distribution Edges for death-grip on icy, crusty terrain. This all-mountain freestyle board's predictable flex helps you power through sketchy snowscapes, and the Air's Triax Response fiberglass reinforcements provide energetic pop for slope-side hits and gigantic park kickers. We can't control which color you receive, but we know you'll dig it. *Available for U.S. Shipment Only. Was this useful? Yes | No From Altrec:
Burton: Air Snowboard - Borrowing the best from the bestselling Custom snowboard (that being the freestyle shape) this season's Burton Air offers added performance for riders on a budget. In addition to new dimensions, this new Air features Burton's Pressure Distribution Edges beneath the binding areas that extend out a half-millimeter more than the rest of the board for better grip on slick and unyielding ice or hardpack. While the Pressure Distribution Edges add grip, the modification doesn't mess with the intuitive, user-friendly feel. This is a great freestyle design for intermediates who already like to carve, but want to spend a little more of their learning curve among the challenges in the pipe and park. - Burton "feel" rating: 5 on a scale of 1 to 7
- Great for groomers, the halfpipe and park, but fair in deep powder
