| Black Diamond Wired Hexcentrics 4.2 out of 5 based on 21 user reviews.
Cred: 6 | | A light alternative to cams. I carry a #11 to supplament #3 and #4 cams on large cracks. Several different angles provides a veriaty of placements. The wire also alows for a little extra reach when placeing them. |
| I do not recomend cliping the rope into the wire, this may wiggle them out once you climb past. A sling will fix this. |
| If you want to clip straight into a hex I suggest the Wild country's slung hexes. |
Cred: 1096 | | Simple and easy to use. Plus yo can use them to aleart bears as you approach ^_^
The larger size are lighter than cams of equal size. |
| Lots of cow bells out there, I like the Look of the Metolus Curved hexes. |

Cred: 1306 | | Review by MikePB on Feb. 27, 2011 | | I only use the large sizes of these at Joshua tree to supplement cams. Being from the east coast I don't use a lot of huge pro. They are bomber and easy to place. |
| Noisy on your rack banging against each other. I feel like I am walking around with pots and pans banging. A bit heavy. |
Cred: 844 | | Great for doubling up without a lot of weight in sizes. Great pieces to help new climbers protect in larger sizes. |
| Nothing says newbie like the jingle of cowbells coming down the path. Recommend also switching the wires out with slings. |
Cred: 218 | | The 10 and 11 are great for supplementing wide cams cheaply and lightly. Having a large variation between narrrow and wide placements |
| You sound like a cow when these are racked, smaller ones not worth buying for more than $5 each |
Cred: 484 | | Usual, solid black diamond construction. |
| none that i can tell yet but haven't had a chance to place them. |
Cred: 30 | | Great piece of pro...cables tend to be long and flexible enough to make useful camming placements, and stopper placements seem to fit great |
| #'s 10 and 11 are huge cowbells, #3 is slung with a 6kN rated cable...(usually just carry #4-#9 |
 Cred: 54 | | know the hex's well to ensure a quick placement |
| WC Rockcentrics
easier to place, harder to rack |
Cred: 1073 | | Feel bomber when placed. Colorful |
| Noisy if that matters to you. |
Cred: 507 | | The big hexes make a musical clanking sound that yells "newbie" to everyone in earshot. |
Cred: 52 | | they fit amazingly well, very light |
| on bigger sizes the cable bends making it harder to place |
Cred: 4460 | | Easy to place and can take a beating |
 Cred: 28 | | What can I say, they're bomber. |
Cred: 73 | | Wired is amazing for accurate placing |
