Good Features
Fantastically solid tool. I had these for a season, then my gear bag got stolen in the airport, and the reimbursement got me a pair of cobras. I miss these tools though. Solid, intuitive and solid sticks. Perfect weight. Great leashless, but the android leash is nice. Will do anything alpine and takes on all but the professional level ice and mixed routes. Solid tool. Modular pick is nice, and there are 3 options which are all good. with a little care, these tools will last a long time.
Bad Features
never found one over the season i had them.
Recommended Alternatives
Cobra has a slightly sharper bend, and a little more weight in the Head for easier softer sticks. Laser pick is good for ice. Use the titan for a little more versatility. |

Good Features
This is about the best semi-professional axe available: solid placements, great swing, light, about everything you need for ice, medium difficulty mixed or even the toughest alpine routes.
Bad Features
Too bad it comes with a laser pick, I prefer titan.

Good Features
natural feeling, comfortable swing. comfortable grips. weight distribution is perfect for my preferences. comes leash-optional which i greatly like. not too heavy. i have confidence that this tool will place well!
Bad Features
none that i know of just yet. have yet to actually use them on ice.

cobra, if you're down with forking out the extra $$$. ive heard good things about the cobra. |
