| Black Diamond Sabretooth Pro Crampon 4.3 out of 5 based on 10 user reviews.
Cred: 28184 | | A worthy competitor in any arena the Sabretooth crampon can do it all. It climbs ice with a nice finesse with the flat front point when the ice is known for shearing you don't have to worry as much as with those vertical points that are featured on many crampons. If you want to use these for trekking the crampons are as well suited towards that. |
| Since the Sabretooth functions so well in so many different areas the performance in each category is slightly lessoned. If you want a pure trekking crampon these can be argued to be a little heavy and if you are climbing lots of mixed routes you will probably be interested in crampons that can be arranged with different configurations to allow you to maximize you ability. |

| The older model (before the new stainless steel model) I found suffered the problem of paint wearing off quickly when pushed hard. My old pair now is prone to rust on the front points and in a number of places. The new stainless steel versions which I also have however are amazing and make this point redundant. Higher end vertical point crampons exists in technical climbing, as the sabertooth is a multi purpose crampon, but ideal for mountaineering. |
| The clip version of this product is a good model, and works well with over-boots and double plastic, although technical Performance is reduced with this. |

Cred: 398 | | If you can only buy one set of crampons and you want to do it all, then these are the ones. Equally at home on pure vertical ice as mountaineering and kicking steps. Great for those days that ice is soft and vertical points will sheer through. |
| Since they are so multipurpose, they don't really excel at one thing. Not really recommended for mixed climbing and will deflect a bit when trying to kick into bullet proof ice, where vertical points or monopoints will go right in. |

Cred: 8 | | These crampons are easy to set-up for your boots, the cam mechanism that keeps the tension is robust and can take a beating. These are very versatile crampons, the front points can provide stability for ice and front pointing or if you are just trekking these would rock. |
| A little on the heavy side. The snow bails up under the foot rather heavy requiring you to clear your crampons often, even with the anti-bailing devices installed. |

Cred: 55 | | Easy to adjust, secure fit, easy to put on |
