From Altrec:
Atomic: Neox 4.12 Bindings - Free your ski for optimal flex and unsurpassed performance with these Neox 412 bindings from Atomic. Unlike some traditional binding designs that create flat spots and suck the lively flex out of the midsection of many performance skis, the Neon 412 binding has a flex-enabling design that minimizes the ski coverage and maximizes the fluid motion. Granted, this probably isn't the type of binding beginners and green-run intermediates want to use on a recreational ski, but if you crave extra pop potential and performance (especially in the bumps), the Neox 412 treats you better than a few of the industry-leading bindings that claim to be the best. Atomic's Full Flex technology is a free gliding system that connects the heel piece to the toe piece with a durable and flexible steel band. The design keeps the ski beneath the Neox 412 from stiffening so the flex is always predictable and potentially more stable with better steering (those last two traits also depend on your specific ski selection). If the boot toe somehow turns off center when your ski flexes through lateral impact, the heel piece of the Neox 412 won't push your boot into the toe piece with the same force as traditional bindings, so you're less likely to encounter an unwanted release, and you enjoy a consistent and elastic connection with the snow on varied terrain, especially while carving. Atomic designed a special spring system that keeps your boot in the binding with a moderate forward pressure, but the steel band absorbs the longitudinal force so the forward pressure won't alter the way your skis were intended to flex. This version of the Neox 412 has a lightweight and durable aluminum frame with a versatile 4-12 DIN range that's ideal for a wide range of experienced skier abilities.
  • DIN range: 4 to 12
  • Atomic Synchro adjustment technology for accurate sizing
  • Full flex design for improved ski flex, control and stability
  • Adjustment level with sole length window for accurate length measurements with boots
  • Sole length range: 260 to 370 mm.
  • AFD plate just behind toe piece for easy exits
  • Height: 27 mm.
  • Weight: 3,250 g. per pair

From Skis.com:
Wouldn't it be great if skis were electronically hooked up to your brain and could respond exactly how you wanted them on every turn. Well, the engineering behind these bindings isn't that far from fantasy. The most innovative and top model range available, Atomic NEOX are flex-enabling machines. By minimizing the coverage of the skis and maintaining precise release values, they allow the skis to perform just as you imagined it would.
