| Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket 4.9 out of 5 based on 5 user reviews.
Cred: 454 | | classic gore-tex, windproof, waterproof, allows easy access to harness......you"ll be warm, dry, and comfortable |

Cred: 23 | | Long cut that doesn't pull out of the harness. Long sleeves for ape arms. Super light. |
| Hood doesn't turn well with your head. |

Cred: 5 | | Solidly built jacket, like all A. Clothing. GoreTex XCR= higher performance than regular GoreTex, super breathability- proven on my Denali climb, I stayed dry even under high exhertion... Arc'Teryx is cut for people with athletic builds; NO loose bulk around the torso, and plenty of arm room. I use shells one size larger to ensure a looser fit and length at all point for layering. Completely waterproof (amazing for a GoreTex product). Bear in mind GoreTex NEEDS bodyheat being produced to work the best, so sitting around can lead to getting damp, but not so much in this jacket! |
| The only down side to me is the price. I would also like a small breast pocket and upper arm pockets for easy access to small things while geared up carting a load. This jacket only has two large frontal pockets. |
| No alternatives in my opinion. I also have an Event membrane jacket, and so far I Think the XCR breaths better, but I suspect the Event will be more water proof, which all makes sense... I have't worn the Event in shower conditions yet though- south central Alaska just doesn't get that kind of rain. |

Cred: 5 | | construction is fantastic. utility is fantastic. Street cred. and trail cred. |
| zippers under the arm are a tiny bit uncomfortable when worn without a mid layer, but seriously, who cares? |
