Rack Simulator Suggestions | |

hi there I would like to have RP nuts, HB offsets, Camp Nano crabs, etc added to the selection available for my rack! How would I go about adding these equipment? Also what about aid equipment, aiders (Yates), fifi's, BD hammer, pitons, Alien offsets, haulbags, portaledges (BD, Metolius, Fish, A5 etc)
Best would be if you could add a faction where we users could actually add it ourselves, including the specs etc? Also another option would be great if we could add pics of the pieces, Also harnesses, shoes, ropes, ice climbing equipment (axes, ice screws etc) and rucksacks. Also stoves, gas etc
So in the end one could just work out, total weight for certain trips etc. Also would be great for insurance claims! You could get some insurance company's to offer insurance for climbing equipment (eg the rack!) As mine is well over 20 grands worth! cheers for your feedback Arun (aka dirtbagger)

"it appears that you have protection up to 20 cm length, but are lack pro at 14.5 cm"

20g wow! That's insane. But I guess that's part of the sport.
How do you foresee harnesses, shoes etc being included in the system (or just weight / cost)? I believe this would go under home owners insurance which includes lots more than just climbing gear. We could develop a script that prints a printer-friendly report of your inventory.
I don't really see how the graphs would apply to ice screws either but I am dif. open to your input.

Yeah ice screws, axes, et al wouldn't be for width analysis but more with the weight! eg how much does my current gear weight compared to if one would use other gear! Especially useful when somebody would be wanting to upgrade gear and in the process wants to lighten the total weight.
Also good to see where the actual heavy items are in the rack/pack

 | I'd also like to see the repeat items with just a number next to them to indicate how many I have. I have tons and tons of ovals and D's and don't want my rack simulator to show a page full of all ovals.
cheers

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the program has lots of potential for improvement. I have about 2-3 weeks of work to go to get some new price monitoring fun up and running then I will tackle the Racksimulator again. Of course if you have ideas keep posting ...
