I bought a pair of Volkl AC30's with Marker integrated ipt 14 bindings (2010 model year). I'm going to mount the bindings myself, which looks pretty straight forward, then bring them to the shop for adjustment. It looks like the mount consists of only one screw... The question is whether the little plastic insert that comes in the screw hole of the ski stays in place, or is to be removed first, in order to accommodate the mounting screw?

I thought you didn't need to use any screws unless you are mounting traditional bindings...doesn't it just snap in to the channel? Sorry if I have the wrong thing pictured in my mind. I haven't played with skis for half a year.
