i'm very interested in this pad, but i love my therm a rest chair for setting around after a long day of hiking, would this neo air work in a chair?

Yes, actually. Both Big Agnes chair kits work with all three sleeping pad sizes (I have the short, and it works fine).
If you don't mind the weight, the Easy Chair gets better ratings than the Cyclone Super Light.
Also, this one by Thermarest:
is said to work, although I have heard that the Big Agnes ones work better. I am sure Thermarest will come out with something specifically for the Neo Air in time.
Enjoy that pad. It is luxurious. And a great price right now!
