I would like to replace my xt front derailleur on a 2009 stumpjumper pro with a xtr front derailleur. The xt attaches to a plate on the frame tube with 2 bolts. What model of xtr front derailleur do I need? Can I get a model that will use the same 2 bolt attachment as the XT?

Hey,

You are going to need to stick with XT. Nothing available for that in XTR, also I wouldn't really spend the extra money if I were you.

The only place that seems to have the model in stock you need is offline. I will check back in a day.

You need a Shimano M770 XT, direct mount, top swing, dual pull

Will an E-type XTR front derailleur work? Does'nt the E-type connect to the bottom bracket?

Hey there,

I am passing on your question to the bike guru. He might not get back to ya until tomorrow.

Take care,
Melissa
