Welcome to Spadout Tamra,

The SC SL is a sweet bike unfortunately almost every manufacture makes bikes that will curl you hair just as quickly. Do you ride with a mix of other riders and what are you riding now : ?

i have a cannondale hard tail - bought it used for fun, didnt expect to be loving it or hitting the trails as much as i am right now - ride with a group - it's funny, i have a lot of fear, but when on this bike i felt really comfortable. i have an aversion to the specialized bikes and and energetic draw to the superlight. i LOVE LOVE LOVE to climb and dread the downhill... so having something that helps absorb the bumps (and fear) is what i am looking for. i am still a beginner - yet catching on fast b/c of my crazy friends.. with the superlight i want to get on and stay on and i have the desire to improve and be challenged... i need that inspiration and comfort to have the confidence to continue to take on the trails

Wowzerz sounds like you found extacy on the SL. Its amazing how riding a HT teaches one to ride then riding a FS teaches on to rip. To bad your not out here in GnarCal you would really love the DH.

Since you ride with others they should be willing to swap bikes from time to time so you can get a better idea on different FS bikes. Frome their you can get a better idea on the different linkage types and how they ride. Were getting into the new model release which will bring the price of 2010's and below down in price.

Dont rush into buying the SL until you have the chance to ride a couple different types of designs. The SL my just be your sweet heart but testing other styles might change your mind.
