Hello, i am looking for a good boot for wide calf. I have salomon rush 90 boots now and find them very uncomfortable, I have painful shins, almost brusing after a day on the slopes. wondering if the salomon idol would be a good choice.

Hi , I had the same problems, it was suggested to me that it's because I go from lift open to lift close everyday [ when on skiing holiday ] and the type of skiing I like I am forward so much , it would rub a hole in my shins, so rather than a new boot they sold me some eliminator inserts, they go in the front of the boot and are effectively just a comfy shin protector . Fixed it for me . Good luck which ever way you go .
