Hello,
I am looking for a light weight aider that I can use in a pinch (when I am climbing and it starts to rain, etc.) and possible for glacier travel as well. The ones I am looking at are the Black DiamondAlpine aiders, Metolius easy aider and the petzl quick step. What are your thoughts?

Hey,
Between the Quickstep and easy aider, I don't find any significant difference.
But the Alpine aider does give you a lot more usability. If you are going to be using it a fair bit go with it.
If you think your route will likely go without using an aider, but want the backup, get either the quickstep or easy aider.
