That's a good question. I am inclined to say no because the welts aren't going to be in the right places. Are you opposed to a strap crampon like the
?

Does the strap crampon fit tight so you can kick hard??
Even if i'm not a kicker, I don't want to loose them on the wall.

Yes it does, there is a metal tab on each side of the toe box area that you kick in to, the strap is attached to the top of those metal tabs and flips over the toe of your boot.
I have yet to loose a strap style on the wall, not saying that it wont happen but it does hold quite well.
