How well does the slide lock work vs. the standard heel flip lock. I'm currently using Grevil's and the flip lock closes too high on my boot making it uncomfortable

Hi there,
All the reviews I have read about the sidelock say it's great and very secure. But I'll ask the other Gurus to see if any of them have personal experience.

They are a little less durable than the standard heel lock. But they are lighter. They should not be a problem with the boot and are great for heel hooking. If you are climbing and want to save some weight these are great. But the locking system can be prone to breakage if you do not push in towards the boot on the side lock. Sounds like they may work well for you.
