I'm torn between up sizing to the wider 2.25 version of this tire. Currently I'm riding the 26" 2.1.
What is the real benefit be. I ride on mostly dirt single track or x/c ski trails.

Traction,
This will be the main difference, the increased surface area will allow your tire to stick better. But it will also slow you down some, more friction. If you aren't having any problem with traction with what you are riding stick with them. But if you slide out every so often might not be a bad idea.
