Why does Marmot no longer produce larger capacity packs? I don't believe they manufacture anything larger than a 45L pack these days.

Nope, you are right. I think it is for 2 reasons. 1. Not as many people are buying packs that big these days (really, the only people who need them are alpine climbers (or guides), and even they usually keep it below 60L. 2. Marmot wasn't super successful with them when they did make them. They have done a lot better with their smaller packs, especially for adventure racers. Other brands like Gregory, Osprey, Kelty, REI and even Jansport kinda cornered the market for those. Who knows, maybe they will have some bigger packs that come out in the fall. Right now, they only have their spring/summer line up on the website.
