I can't get my poles to collapse all the way. About 4inches of gold is remaining and then, it sort of bounces back up, or won't enter the black shell. It only goes as far as it looks in the accompanying photo.

It should go down to 68 cm collapsed, according to the tech specs. How far can you collapse them?
