Do you recommend the MX230 with the ratchet closure or MX170 with BOA for mixed use? Doing some time trialing (minor) and general century, touring, etc. so need a walkable shoe.

Well,
I would suggest the Mx170. The boa systems locks your foot down with a reduced chance of hot spots from uneven tightness. Just to confirm you will be using mtb pedals?
