I am climbing in Bolivia in May. Would these be warm enough?

What altitude are you climbing to? These are warm boots, but depending on altitude, you may want to go to something a little warmer.

On 14ers here in the states, this is a popular rental boot.

I hope to be climbing to 20,000 ft plus on Illampu and maybe Illimani. Maybe I could pick up an overboot?

I attempted the summits of Chimborazo (20,720ft) in them a few years ago and here is what I did to make them work: first i put in a Wintergreen Superfeet footbed because the Outlast fabric on top really helps with temperature regulation. Next I used a BDEL Overboot (They don't make these any longer but I understand 40 below makes something very similar. Mine cover the boot upper but keeps the sole exposed) Next I wrapped a couple layers of a black electrical tape around the rails on my crampons as it provides just a little insulation from the conduction of the cold through the metal. So this is my secret, If you tell anyone.

Have a good climb
