I'm fairly new to camping and I'm debating whether to get the kelty Crestone 1 or the Eureka Solotiare tent. I want something that is lightweight but durable. I heard kelty makes good tents and I'm assuming so since it's more expensive. I was also considering the Northface Rock 22. I know it's a little heavier but it does hold more room. It might give me more bang for my buck. Do you have any recommendations?

I really like North Face tents and the Rock 22 is no exception. I think you'll appreciate having the extra space in it and the durability is top notch.

The Eureka is essentially a Bivy Sack with poles. 3.5 lbs is really heavy for a Bivy.
The Kelty is only about 1/2 pound heavier and gives the benefit of a double wall shelter. By separating the fly and tent body, the Kelty will get rid of condensation much better and give you much more internal space.
If you plan to go by yourself, stick with the one man. Once you head out with a friend, the Rock 22 will be lighter on a per person basis and give you better protection from changing wind directions as well as a bunch of Vestibule space.
All of the above were designed with different intended uses. And you're right, you get what you pay for.
