My wife would like me to buy her a pair of skis, she is an intermediate skier, O.K. on most blue, black gets a little sketchy. Bad fall a year ago and just not got her nerve back. We ski western mountains mostly Colorado/California/Utah. Need a ski stable at speed but good for some fluffy stuff too, what would you suggest, Lotta Luv's or Burning Luv? She has skied the lotta luvs and likes them but I don't know what would be a better all around ski. She is 5'9" 150 lbs.

Hi there,
Tough call; both are good skis for what you described. Both are going to be forgiving, since they have rocker (=no catching an edge randomly) and floaty (rocker allows skis to keep getting wider and wider). The Burnin will do better on groomed and hardpack. Lotta will do better on softer and deeper. I would say if she is going to be doing 50/50, to lean toward the Lotta.
Was that wishy-washy enough for you?
