I'm wondering if this bike is a good choice for park paved trail riding. I'm concerned that going up hills is going to be really hard because of the riding position. I have a Specialized mountain bike but the riding position is more uncomfortable as I get older (35) so I'm looking for a bike that will be good for bike rides with the family but still sporty enough to go fast. I would love your opinion. Thanks!

A 700c road bike with flat handlebars would be much faster and still comfortable.

Hills will not be an issue because this bike has low gears which you can switch into to get up. These bikes are great for their riding positions and are a lot of enjoyment. Sounds like you might be a great candidate for it.
