Does it have a solid side? It seems so, but I am not sure.
Can I use it for beach sunshade?
It weights only 1/2 kilo!!! That's great! But can I pack it tightly in my rucksack?

Hey there,
You absolutely can use it for sun protection. It's designed to work with a tarp for added shelter but can be used alone. It's also very packable as well. Hope this helps.

I doubt the mesh will block out the sun much without a tarp.
