Re the Open-bottom design for use with sleeping pad - does the pad go inside the sleeping pad or does it go outside the sleeping like that of the Big Agnes sleeping system? TTHAnks

The pad goes on the outside. Use is just like a regular sleeping bag. Here is a side view
