I have an older sleeping bag that is 50% down and 50% feathers.
It is a older Swan brand sleeping ag - made in China
My grandson needs a sleeping bag that is good for minus 8 degrees. Can you tell me what this one would be good for?

The swan I'm familiar with is all down and a 10 degree (f) bag. Keep in mind that if it was stored compressed, the synthetic in your bag may be matted and will be less warm than new.
