What is the point (pardon the pun) of using rigid crampons if I already use rigid boots (koflach degres) ? Just more rigidity for less fatigue ? I have g-12's and air tech lights, so the next set is only for climbing vertical ice.

Hey there,

I think you nailed it on the head. Anytime you're dealing with ice climbing crampons you want them to be as rigid as possible so you can run them with a large range of boots. I also think the setup you're running is one of the best out there. Hope this helps.

The DMM terminator is designed for steep ice. its Stiff and therefor does not flex making it hard to walk in.
Remember that a ridged crampon need a ridged boot, or there is a chance of the crampon popping off due to boot flex.
