Hi is this a pack designed for women in particular?
Is it much different to the Deuter act lite?

No, that is a men-specific pack. Here's the womens' version:
The ACT Lite is a bit burlier, so also a bit heavier, but they are pretty similar.
You could wear the men's versions if you have wide shoulders and a long torso (17-20" minimum).

The ACT lite is a much better pack and way easier to fit. The zero has some limitations in our opinion and is best for longer torsoed women. The ACT lites are best sellers and you can't go wrong with those.
