I am impressed with reviews I have seen for this wheelset but have noted that numerous folks claim they're impossible if not very difficult to change while out on the road if you have a flat. Is this true and/or is there a particular tire that fits them better than others. This is the one reason I'm a bit scared off by them. Otherwise they sound like the best bang for the buck. Any advice?

Yes you have heard correct. For some reason these wheels always have a problem with getting tires on them. But if you ride with a buddy you won't have a problem. As well, think about how often you flat and the great price.
