The half dome is a great option for you. There is a lot of adjustment in fit and they are very durable.
Another option, for the similar reasons, is the Ecrin Roc:
The petzl helmet has less foam in it, but suspends the helmet above the head and uses a thicker shell for rock deflection. It's my choice for when I'm worried about something hitting me rather than me hitting something.
