Hi there,

The sleeping bag weighs 2lbs, 15 oz. for the regular length (6ft). The pad is sold separately. You can use any kind of pad that you want, as long as it is 20" in width (this is standard sleeping pad width) and 6' long. I would recommend a pad that is at least 1" thick, and no more than 2. Too thin and it is too cold (remember, there is no insulation in the bottom of a BA sleeping bag. Too thick, and it starts to cut into the internal roominess--the whole reason you want a BA bag in the first place.

Also, I would recommend something with at least an R-Value of 3.0+ such as

if you are using it in the comfort level it was intended for. Many people also double up with something like a

for cold weather camping.

So, the whole setup would weigh about 3lbs (bag) + about 1.5lbs (self-inflating pad) + 8-10oz. (foam pad) = 5lbs.

Hope that helps!

Melissa
