Hi,

I climb mostly sport - mostly redpoint at high 5.11 low 5.12 grades.

I wanted to enquire about the performance and safety of this rope as a single for redpoint attempts.

Also - the same question for the 9.2mm edelweiss performance

Kind regards

Rhys

Hey,

For someone who is using it as a red point rope both ropes will perform well. They are light weight etc. You will always need to remember though that they are thin lines and make sure not to over stress them and extend draws etc so they are not going over sharp corners. Life span is shorter so don't use them to work routes and also make sure to pay a little bit more attention to wear and tear. In a clean fall they are very safe, you just loose that sharp edge resistance.
