I'm looking for a stiff soled boot for a long hike with a heavy pack. Which are stiffer, the TPS or the Power Matic? Does the upper make a difference?

Both boots are pretty close on stiffness. The uppers are pretty identical. The Power Matic adds in a multi density sole for vibration dampening that adds some weight. Both are a multi piece mid sole for stiffness, comfort and cushion.
