How good of a winter boot are these?

Here in California, I'd gladly use these as a snowshoe boot for milder days in Tahoe. They are goretex and the half fabric upper breaks in instantly. If you are in the colder parts of the country, you may be wanting for something with insulation like these.

Thanks for quick reply. Trying to decide between these and the north face mens slot gtx. Not sure how the Asolos hold up as everyday winter boots, or everyday (non summer) boots for that matter.

The slot is would be my choice over the baltoro mainly because of the goretex insert. If you are comparing it to the Asolo, it's mainly a question of insulation vs non-insulated. All three are durable boots, so as long as you keep them clean they'll serve you well.
