I am 6'2, 240 lbs and would say I am an intermediate to advanced rider that likes all mountain, but tend to stay away from the park and ride mostly off trail.

I am in serious debate whether to get the Burton Custom X with the Cartel EST (both 2011 editions) or the K2 Slayblade with either the Rome Targas or GNU mutant binding.

Any suggestions. I know that both boards feature different technology namely flatline vs. camber and ICS.

It seems like each day I decide I'll go one way or the other, help me lol....

Hey William,

Sorry Gnu never got back to me. :(

In my opinion, your first setup is your best choice. I think the Slayblade would be better in the deep powder and in the park, but for everything in between, I would prefer the below foot camber of the Custom.

That being said, I am biased. I have been riding the women's version of the Custom for a while now and I love it. One of the beauties of it is that it holds a solid edge no matter how fast or steep I am going. I would be afraid that you would sacrifice that a bit with the flatline. It handles steep, deep, ice, chunks, groomers, everything (although, I admit, I never take it in the park).
