 | Well, I'm only 29, so not that old, but I have a few pieces of gear from when I first started participating in outdoors activities. A pair of La Sportiva Makalus from 1998 (resoled of course), an TNF pack from the same timeframe, which just carried all my gear for a 300 mile trek in Turkey, and an old L.L. Bean 300 wgt polarfleece that recently kept me warm on a few 6K meter peaks in Bolivia.

 | i guess that would be my Gerber hatchet. I've had it for about 12 years. The only reason I still have it is because my friend borrowed and it wasnt with the rest of my gear when it all got stolen. :(
