Summary: If you have any of clifbar's peanut butter line keep reading.
On January 19, 2009, we announced a voluntary recall of 14 U.S and 4 Canadian products including CLIF Bar, CLIF Builders, CLIF MOJO, CLIF Kid Organic ZBaR and LUNA Bar, in the U.S. and Canada because the peanut butter in those products was sourced, for a limited period of time, from the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). PCA is a manufacturer and supplier of peanut butter for many food companies and manufacturers.
PCA is under investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a recent Salmonella outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter. In light of this investigation, and with an abundance of caution, Clif Bar & Company has enacted a voluntary recall. We take the health and safety of our consumers very seriously.

That sucks David. I'm surprised they aren't hooking customers like you up with coupons to get free bars.

Ya prob. not worth the wooping $2 value but hey a recall is a recall. You'd think they'd want the good customer relations.

I submitted there recall info but like you said for 2 bucks it's no big deal the Blueberry taste better anyway.

Clif Bar is awesome!! I'm not worried about tossing $2 away if it means staying out of the hospital or alive but Clif is looking at the thousands of dollars consumers have spent and are willing to make it right. Just got this email back from Clif.

Clif Bar & Company products have not been named in the FDAs investigation, yet to ensure consumer safety we are, with an abundance of caution, voluntarily recalling our products containing peanut products. As a food company, we make consumer health and safety our top priority. It was out of a great deal of caution and concern that we issued the recall something weve never had to do in 16 years of business.
Please throw away any of our recalled products to ensure no one mistakenly eats them.
Many other foods are included in this recall. For your safety we recommend you check www.fda.gov to find out about other recalled products.
As you shop, please know that 91 Clif Bar & Company products that do not contain peanut products are currently available for your enjoyment and are not impacted by the recall.

Update on the Recall program.
Received two coupons from Clif today, one for each bar submitted, to purchase a free Clif product; One Clif, Luna or Mojo of any flavor per cupon.
Clif Bar is awesome definitely a company concerned about their customers.
