|  Headlamp Requirements
- How far do you need to see? LEDs can provide hundreds of hours of light, but many only provide sufficient light for basic tasks around camp.
- How much does it weigh? Always consider battery weight in addition to the weight of the actual headlamp when selecting a headlamp. Most headlamps require 1 AAA battery to 4 AA batteries.
- What temperature are you using it in? Extreme cold temperatures may warrant an external battery pack allowing you to place your batteries inside your jacket.
