Gaiters
Gaiters are designed to create a waterproof connection from your boots to your pants, so that snow or water cannot go down into your pants and soak your socks. Gaiters are traditionally used in wet or snowy climates; however, many people wear them to keep dust out of their boots. They also serve as added protection from thorns and brambles and a substitution for a pair of rain pants.
