Thank you for your interest in contributing to Spadout Magazine. Articles regarding any outdoor sport activity are acceptable. We ask that all articles include photographs or diagrams.
If your article is accepted we will:
- list you as the author and link to your personal biography / website

- send you a $30 check
- list you on Spadout Co preferred authors list (we may request articles in the
future from you and provide higher financial compensation)
Submitting an article is fast and simple. Save the article as a Microsoft word file, HTML file or any other common format and send it to:
You can send multiple emails if the attached media is too large for one email. Images should be either JPEG or GIF files.
Do not submit any work (text or media) that you did not write or do not own. The article must be original content and not published else where on the internet or in print.
Spadout Co has the right to accept or reject any article it choices. If we reject your article you retain all rights to the article and media. If the article is accepted you transfer the ownership of the article and media to Spadout Co. By transferring ownership of the article and media to Spadout you agree not to publish the article or media elsewhere on the web or in print (without written permission from Spadout Co). Spadout Co has the right to alter any media or articles it owns. Spadout Co has the right to publish any media or article it owns both on the internet and in print.
Spadout Co agrees to send the check prior to publishing the article and media.
After your article is accepted we will place you on a preferred authors list. Preferred authors receive higher financial compensation for their future articles.
Spadout is a new project. Though we are obtaining some sponsorship currently our funding is minimal. Spadout is working hard to develop the websites affiliated with Spadout so we can obtain more sponsors. We will than increase the funding available for authors and favor those authors who have been with us from the start.
Spadout is run by climbers living in Estes Park, CO. We are serious about making Spadout a success.
